Together with Heren 5 architects, G&O, Hamlet Design+Build Technology, Merosch and Slokker Bouwgroep, Amsterdam branch, we won the tender for Slochterenlaan Noord in Bussum. We chose the name ‘Lomans Holt’ for the development of this location; a tribute to P.J. Loman, one of the founders of Het Spiegel. ‘Holt’ is old Dutch for ‘a grove on a hill’ and refers not only to the green, nature-inclusive setting and slightly elevated position of the homes, but also to the sustainable and innovative construction technique with cross-laminated timber.

The two urban villas will house 24 to 26 apartments for the social rental sector, largely aimed at seniors. The project is energy neutral, Paris-Proof and ultra-sustainable with an average GPR score of over 8.5. All generations can live here healthily and future-proof. A great collaboration between all parties involved and with the input of the local residents!
