Stephanie Idongesit Ete
Stephanie Idongesit Ete is a British-Nigerian architect currently based in Amsterdam. Having gained her bachelor’s degree (BArch) in architecture from the University of Nottingham, she went on to complete her master’s in architecture (MSc) from the Academy of Architecture Amsterdam / Amsterdam University of the Arts in 2021 and as of 2022 is a registered Architect in the Netherlands. She has worked across the spectrum of the architectural profession, from architecture and interior design projects to landscape design and urban strategies, though most thoroughly, she has engaged in the research by design sector of the profession. Over the course of her studies, Stephanie oriented her focus towards investigating African architecture and designing from a point of cultural legibility. Stephanie featured in RIBA’s Next Generation of Black Architects in 2018, and her master’s graduation project ‘The Calabar Sculpture Garden’ in Nigeria, was nominated for the AHK Eindwerkprijs 2021 and the Archiprix Nederland 2022.
